SOL Day 21: Falling at the Baskeball Game Lesson Learned

Today the girls basketball team had a game and I was so nervous.
Yeah, we made a few shots and then it was my turn to go on the court finally I played that round and then the hardest one was my second one.
It was in the middle of the game when I fell one of the girls from the other team had pushed me. When she did all my friends saw that I fell and they rushed over to me saying “Kate are you ok?” That’s what proved that I have very good friends cause they didn’t care if the game was still going they stopped playing and came over to me.
Anyway, I got up and kept on going cause I was reading these quotes and one of them says “Don’t stop when your tired, stop when your done” -Jordan and I kept that in my head the whole time I played cause I wasn’t just going to sit there while the game was still going. Lesson Learned: Most importantly be careful when you play Basketball and be aggressive don’t let one little push to the floor hurt you get up, and keep playing like nothing happened.

SOL Day 20: Chasing Ruffes Lesson Learned

Today in the morning I woke up late cause my alarm didn’t go off and my big sister (Mimi) woke me up. I quickly got ready cause I didn’t want to be anymore late then I already was. Mimi decides to take Ruffes our dog, with us to drop me off and it was fine by me.
I was done getting ready and I told Mimi ” I’m ready to go” and she said “Ok, hold on let me put Ruffes’s leash on.” I was waiting on the stairs that lead to the back door while she put the leash on Ruffes. She came walking down the stairs with Ruffes and I opened the door so we can go to the garage were my Mom’s Audi was parked. Once Mimi and Ruffes step out the door, Ruffes runs so fast/hard that it broke the collar and I freaked out trust me I was in shock and Mimi said “Katey go run get him!” I go running after him and that’s when it happened I stepped in the puddle not realizing that I dirtied my white Raulph Lauren shoes.
Anyway I go running through the alley and I ran more faster and I finally got a hold of him so I grabbed him by the neck, and Mimi goes behind me saying “Don’t let him go Katey” she came with the leash in her hand.
Then, Mimi said “Go get the other collar in the house” and I go running back to my house to get the other collar that’s when I looked at my shoes and they are covered in dirty brown water I grabbed the whole bucket of Clorox wipes and the Collar and ran out.
While I was in the car on the way to school I know you probably forgot that I was late because of all that craziness I just told you about it’s ok I even forgot that I was late to school, anyway I go scrubbing off all that dirty water off my shoes while Mimi is laughing at me getting me mad cause if I were on the other hand I would’ve helped her. Lesson Learned: Never and I mean never go chasing after a dog with white shoes while having a bigger sister that laughs at things that aren’t funny to you, NEVER.

SOL Day 19: Computer

Today I finally got to use my computer it felt so weird cause I’m used to the MacBook Pro and now I’m on a little Windows computer. I did most of my writing on there cause at the moment I’m writing a Love Story kind of like Twilight. Anyway what happened today is that my little sister (Vivienne) wanted my computer and I got so mad cause she has destroyed my other electronics. I wasn’t going to even let her touch it cause I know that she starts eyeballing it and then wants it.
My Mom bought her a tablet yesterday as I wrote on my blog and she still wanted my computer I told her that the whole reason for me getting the computer was because I told my Mom that I need something that I can write on that’s personal. But it was a waist of time telling her that cause after I told her that she said “Can I get your computer” I got furious and went to my room and she thought it was funny cause Vivienne always thinks it’s funny when I get mad. But I know that eventually she will get over wanting my things cause trust me it gets very exhausting.

SOL Day 18: Getting a New Computer

Today my Mom took my little sister (Vivienne) and I to Walmart and she didn’t take us with the intention to get me a computer and Vivienne a tablet but anyway, I was looking around and then I came across her and she said “Katey lets go to the electronics I want to see what they have” and I said “Ok.”
When we got there I saw this awesome Windows computer and I thought it was perfect to have a computer of my own that I’ll use for my blogging/writing. so I told my Mom “Can I get that computer I like it” and she said “How much is it” and I told her “199.99” and she said “Thtas not bad for a computer” so she called the guy that worked at the electronics department and said “Can you get the computer out for my daughter” and he said “Sure what color” and of course I said “Purple.”
So then, there I go walking out of Walmart with the back containing the computer I was so excited to get home I couldn’t wait to use it, so now from now on I’m going to be posting from my new computer.

SOL Day 17: Little Sister Breaking my Guitar Lesson Learned

I was sitting on my desk chair, grabbed my guitar, and started tuning it. Then, I was inn the last string and right when I was about t tune that string my little sister (Vivienne) walks in with our dog.
She goes and pulls on on of them, runs away, and when I saw what she did I got so mad I went chasing her down and hit her. She got mad and hit me back and I yelled at her I said “Vivienne why would you do that” and she says very seriously “That was Ruffes not me” and I was wondering how my dog could have done it when he wasn’t even by me when I was tuning my guitar.
Later, I told my Mom what she did and this is Vivienne “Mom that was Ruffes not me” and I said “Mother how in the world can Ruffes break the string if he wasn’t even that close to me” my Mom said “Katey you should have known better not to tune it without the door closed.”
For the rest of the day I didn’t even look at Vivienne because I was so mad that she broke the only thing that helps distract me from other things.
Lesson learned: Never tune or play your guitar with a 4 year old next to you cause you might regret it.

SOL Day 16:HomeGoods

Today my Mom took my sisters and I to HomeGoods and we went and left with about 3 carts full of stuff for our house.
When an hour passed by we were still there and I was getting pretty bored but then, I pass by my Mom and she had a bed set, a lamp, a portrait, and curtains in the cart and I was confused so I asked her “Mom who is that stuff for” and she says “Its for your room” I started jumping in joy, at first I thought she was joking because she barley never really gets me that type of stuff she’s usually buying me clothes so I was pretty shocked. When she told me that all that stuff was for my room I wanted to go home so badly so I could put everything together and see how it ends up looking.

SOL Day 15:My Fear at the Bulls Game

In April I went to the Bulls game with some of my classmates.
When the game was about to start my classmates and I had to move to a different seat. I thought we weren’t going to move as far as we did. But no we moved all the way up to the top of the United Center.
Later, we arrived at the top and I was frightened from the view that we had because all the players looked like miniature legos. And it was also a pretty tight space, but at least I enjoyed the game and they won.

SOL Day 14: Cold Outside Lesson Learned

Today in the morning I went outside to start walking to school. At first I didn’t think it was that cold outside I thought it was just a normal day and it was going to be a little cold.
But no I get to the front of my house and I get so cold I felt like a posicle. My hands were freezing and my ears were halfway frozen.
I had two things in my hands my water on the right and my shoes on the left, meaning I couldn’t tuck my hands into my sweater which was very bad because I was just done being sick. So I didn’t want to risk getting sick again because I hate getting sick.
I rushed to the building almost slipping on the snow, once I get in the building I’m in a nice warm building my hands warmed up as well as my ears. Lesson learned: Don’t go outside withought the proper clothes.

SOL Day 13:Inspire

Today I realized that I was failing in school that I wasn’t doing my work on time like I used to and that I don’t do my homework anymore even if I’m going to get credit for it.
It was time that I opened my eyes and looked closer into my life to see what is distracting me. I was thinking about that all day today could it be from my phone, people, or could it be just because I don’t want to do the work anymore just because its getting tricky.
But I told myself “At one point in your life things are going to get tricky not everything is going to be easy.” So I want to inspire kids to reduce time on the electronics and other stuff that may be distracting them.
To get more outside and to finish there tasks either when its due or before. So thats my plan and while I’m doing that i’ll also be working on organizing myself as well.

SOL Day 12: I Got Sick at KeyLime Cove

Last week I went to KeyLime Cove with my family and for some reason when we got there I started to get the cough and I couldn’t breathe right. For some justification the whole time we were there I didn’t feel good and wanted to go back up to the room. I am so disappointed that I was sick cause I didn’t get to enjoy me going there like I wanted to. Despite that the shocking part was that when we got back home from our marvelous two days spent at KeyLime Cove, I felt better I didn’t have anymore cough and I was breathing perfectly fine.
